- i need at least 8 hours of sleep to be semi-pleasant the next day
- i MUST hit the snooze button at least twice
- 99.5% of the time i get up to pee in the middle of the night – usually around 1:00 am
- i sleep with a pillow over my head (clarification: i don’t sleep with it over my nose or mouth, so yes, i can breathe just fine)
- i’ve never been a morning person
let me just speak briefly to these:
1) for all of you “people” who can function on 5 hours of sleep, you must be part alien or something because that is just NOT normal.
2) this is all i have to say to that:

3) trust me, i’ve tried eliminating liquids after 9 pm or even 5 pm and it doesn’t work.
4) funny that i was JUST talking about this with my cousin/college roommate this past weekend. it all started because she was a morning person and i was NOT. she would sleep with a curtain on her bunk bed for the nights i stayed up late typing papers and then when she popped out of bed at 5:00 am, i would wake up, turn over and throw a pillow over my head to eliminate the noise and the light. ever since then i HAVE to sleep with a pillow over my head. my mom does the same thing – so blame her if you thing it’s weird.
5) no matter how hard i try to get up early, my brain doesn’t wake up until at least 9:00. if i eat breakfast too early (like before 7:00), i get sick. if i try to wake up earlier than 6:45, everything takes me twice as long to get done (brushing teeth, making coffee, putting on makeup, etc). i’ve never been a morning person and i kinda wished i could change that about myself. people who exercise in the morning or can get up and read in the morning seem so much more disciplined and fancy – and well, i’ll just fall asleep in a book or on a treadmill.
and those my friends are my ridiculous sleeping habits. on top of that i’ve always been a napper – LOVE naps!

You got the mid sleep pee thing from me. Mine is usually around 2:00 and Elsa comes up on the bed at 4:30.
